The Responsibility
Supporting the Partners and Litigation team with administrative support including;
- Diary management and arranging of meetings and appointments;
- Liaise with clients, courts, other solicitors, barristers and third parties via phone and email;
- Triaging of incoming communication, including phone calls, emails and correspondence;
- Perform administrative tasks including typing, editing, formatting and proofreading letters, memos, briefs and court documents;
- Drafting correspondence and court documents including letters and pleadings;
- Preparing and collating briefs for Counsel;
- Administration of monthly billing in a timely manner;
- Maintenance of electronic files, including opening, preparing, closure and archiving procedures and;
- Actively working as part of a team to support meeting deadlines, improving processes and onboarding training of others.
The Expertise
We are looking for the desired candidate to possess the following;
- Experience as a Senior Legal Assistant in excess of 5 years, bonus if there has been experience within a litigation team in there.
- A working knowledge of court and legal procedures
- Proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and systems including Aderant is a must! A tech savvy mind and confident navigating systems.
- Unwavering attention to detail, coupled with a methodical approach to tasks and upholding standards.
- A proactive attitude and strong work ethic, characterised by continuous learning and a team based approach.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and swift responsiveness to issues and inquiries.
