The Opportunity

Assistant Sydney is working on an exclusive and desirable role for a dynamic, warm and switched-on office administrator who is ambitious and committed to progressing within the financial services. Family owned and operated, this exceptional business has a portfolio expanding across development, high-end hospitality, agriculture and philanthropy.

A role designed for optimal work-life balance, this position is located in an idyllic Eastern Suburbs office Monday to Friday with freshly whipped up by the in-house chef for your convenience. The intelligent ‘can-doers’, natural communicators and organisers will find comfort in a position that can be scoped to match your strong suits. For a talented, driven and fiercely independent candidates who desire role-ownership and perhaps would rather skip the CBD commute, this position was made for you!

The Responsibility

As Office Manager your duties may vary but will likely include:

  • Answering and directing phone calls; 
  • Coordinating couriers and contractors;
  • Filing and printing correspondence;
  • Sorting and distributing mail;
  • Managing inventory, ordering stock and stationary;
  • Assisting the Finance Manager to review invoices, enter data into Xero, create online payments, and reconcile the monthly credit cards;

  
Another aspect of this position is to manage the properties, and whilst advanced knowledge isn’t necessary, one with an understanding of rental invoices, tenant payments and lease insurance will be advantageous. You will be provided a thorough handover with training from the supportive team.
  
The Expertise

You present yourself as a real jack of all trades across administration duties from accounting admin to office ad hoc and have done so for the past 3- 5 years. The right candidate will have had exposure to another boutique firm and understand it may require your adaptability and flexibility. Your people-skills, sense of humour as well as loyalty will be highly valued in a business based around family values. You can keep your head up, stay on top of priorities and deadlines whilst holding yourself accountable for your workload. You will be curious, forward thinking and possess a strong sense of initiative. Your ability to liaise with high-end stakeholders will prove invaluable within this high-flying financial business.

Ultimately, our client is seeking the right fit, who can seamlessly fit into their close-knit and boutique business, as well as maintain professionalism and autonomy over their work. Bonus point if you hold a valid driver’s license or live within the area!
