The Opportunity
Our client is a well-regarded engineering company recognised for its innovation and people-first culture. They are seeking a full-time Administration Officer to become an integral part of their team. This role offers broad exposure across the business, supporting multiple departments and providing assistance wherever required.
Working as part of a close-knit team of three, alongside the Receptionist and Office Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a well-organised and efficient office environment that enables the wider team to perform at their best. This opportunity is ideal for someone eager to learn and take their first step into a corporate environment. If you bring a positive can-do attitude, a genuine willingness to learn, and experience in hospitality, retail or an office setting, this role could be your gateway into the corporate world.
The Responsibility
Responsibilities for the Administration Officer role include, but are not limited to:
- Manage day-to-day office operations, supplies, and meeting coordination;
- Welcome visitors, manage incoming calls, and provide general administrative support to staff;
- Assist with HR processes including onboarding and training coordination;
- Support finance-related tasks such as expense claims, invoicing, forecasting, and PIM management;
- Assist with marketing initiatives, events, and project administration as required, and;
- Work closely with senior leadership, providing high-level administrative support when needed.
The Expertise
The successful candidate will have 2–3 years of experience in administration, hospitality or retail. Experience working within a team environment, and exposure to team leadership responsibilities, will be highly regarded. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. You will be highly organised and detail-oriented, with a willingness to learn and develop.
