The Opportunity
Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented professional with a passion for governance, board operations, and stakeholder engagement? We’re seeking a Board Services Manager to join a collaborative and high-performing legal team, supporting the coordination of company secretary duties, business operations, and board activities.
This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment, and who is ready to support leadership at the highest levels.
The Responsibility
- Board & Governance Support: Coordinate and manage board and committee meetings (two boards with overlapping members), including preparation of agendas, minute templates, document loading and post-meeting follow-up.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for three Non-Executive Directors, internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Administrative Support: Provide logistical support to NEDs including travel and accommodation; maintain key governance registers (e.g., director bios, meeting attendance, disclosures of interest).
- Process Coordination: Collaborate across departments to ensure the smooth functioning of board and management committee processes.
- Systems & Tools: Confidently use governance platforms such as Diligent Entities (preferred), SharePoint, and the Microsoft Office suite.
The Expertise
The expert we are looking for will have the following experience and qualities:
- Experience in a board-facing or governance-focused role, or as an Executive Assistant supporting senior executives (ideally a CEO).
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and shifting priorities.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, flexible and professional approach with a proactive mindset.
- Exposure to corporate governance principles, with a keen eye for detail and confidentiality.
