The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Facilities & Workplace Experience professional to join a global technology business on a 13-month contract, providing maternity leave cover across their Sydney and Melbourne portfolio.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who sits at the intersection of Facilities, Workplace Experience and Operations. You’ll be responsible for keeping the workplace running seamlessly, whilst also creating an environment where employees, visitors and stakeholders genuinely enjoy being there.
The role is broad and varied, covering everything from facilities operations, vendors and building management through to workplace experience, events, employee engagement and stakeholder management.
You’ll be working closely with the wider teams, service partners and senior stakeholders, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, personable and comfortable being the face of the workplace.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day facilities and workplace operations across the Sydney and Melbourne portfolio
- Acting as a key point of contact for the workplace stakeholders
- Managing relationships with vendors, service providers, building management and other partners
- Leading and supporting workplace teams to deliver an exceptional level of service
- Managing workplace experience initiatives, events and employee engagement activities
- Supporting workplace projects, technology rollouts and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinating maintenance, work orders, inspections and general facilities requirements
- Managing operational, financial and compliance requirements
- Supporting onboarding and workplace initiatives to create a positive employee experience
- Resolving stakeholder requests and issues in a proactive and solutions-focused way
- Ensuring health, safety and risk management requirements are met
- Preparing reports and presentations and providing regular updates to key stakeholders
About You
We’re looking for someone who is more than just a traditional Facilities Manager. You’ll ideally have a background that combines facilities management, workplace experience, hospitality, events or corporate operations.
You will have:
- 8+ years’ experience across Facilities, Workplace, Hospitality or a similar environment
- Strong stakeholder, client and vendor management experience
- Previous team leadership experience
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience within a premium corporate or technology environment will be highly regarded.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who have worked across both the operational and experience side of workplace management – someone who can manage the facilities requirements but also understands the importance of culture, engagement, events and creating a great employee experience.
