The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Finance & Administration professional to join a Private Investment Family Office. This is a hands-on, autonomous role responsible for managing the full spectrum of finance, accounting and administration across a diverse portfolio of private entities, investments, and assets. This role offers a unique opportunity to step into a trusted position within a well-established family office, where discretion, reliability, and financial acumen are paramount.

The Responsibility

  • Full function bookkeeping using Xero across multiple entities;
  • Accounts payable and receivable;
  • Invoice approvals, payments, and reconciliations (bank and credit card);
  • Monthly payroll and superannuation processing;
  • Preparation and review of ATO compliance (IAS/BAS);
  • Liaising with external accountants, tax agents, lawyers and financial institutions;
  • Support with asset transactions and reconciliations;
  • Cash flow management and financial reporting;
  • Assist with year-end accounts, audits, and tax obligations;
  • Ad hoc administration tasks to support the Executive Assistant and Office Manager.

The Expertise

We are seeking a professional with a minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role who has had exposire to administration and finance, ideally within a small business or family office environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Xero and online banking platforms. A high level of attention to detail, strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple entities are essential. The role requires sound financial decision-making, a high level of discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information, and strong skills in Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.

*Note this role is based onsite 5 days per week in the office in Bondi.
