The Opportunity

Out client is a cutting-edge engineering consultancy, who is in pursuit of an Office Administrator to join their tight-knit, passionate team. Located in the hub of North Sydney, you’ll collaborate closely with the company’s Business Manager, assisting with a variety of office support tasks. They’re seeking a switched on, and approachable individual, to help keep their office operations running smoothly. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact and play a key role in the overall success of the business.

The Responsibility

  • Oversee the general maintenance of the office, including managing kitchen and office supplies;
  • Handle reception duties and greet visitors;
  • Perform general office administration tasks, such as filing, word processing, data entry, and providing administrative support as needed;
  • Support staff with project administration tasks when required.
  • Conduct thorough checks on new company projects to ensure client and financial details are accurate and follow up on the receipt of all necessary documentation;
  • Prepare all required documentation for invoicing submissions, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery; and
  • Assist with invoicing tasks, including month-end invoicing procedures as well as following up on outstanding payments.

The Expertise

To excel in this role, you will have at least 2 years of experience as an Admin/Office Assistant or Receptionist and be ready to take on more responsibility! We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, has a keen eye for detail, is a friendly team player, and eager to advance their administrative career. Strong communication skills and proficiency with the MS Office Suite are highly desirable. Above all, we’re looking for someone who enjoys a good laugh / banter and is willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in when needed!

Please note, this role is 5 days a week based in office.
