The Opportunity
Assistant Sydney has partnered with a prominent ASX-listed property and funds management firm to recruit a full-time permanent hire to join the Valuations Team. In conjunction with the Head of Valuations and Operations Manager, this hire will manage the valuation process whilst assisting the team with the implementation of the external programme. We are looking for an experienced Team Assistant who enjoys being the glue for the team, is ambitious, meticulous, organised and has a positive attitude. The Responsibility
The Valuations Coordinator is responsible for managing statutory valuation and land tax processes, ensuring accurate land value records, overseeing objections, and providing reports for finance. They coordinate quarterly valuation programs, including preparing schedules, reviewing reports, and obtaining approvals from stakeholders. As such, the key duties for this hire include:
- Managing statutory valuation/land tax processes and approvals;
- Diary management, including travel arrangements;
- Coordinating quarterly valuation programs, including valuer assignments and financial approvals;
- Managing purchase orders and invoice payments;
- Liaising with internal teams and external service providers;
- Ensuring compliance with valuation policies and maintaining process documentation;
- Organising annual valuation tenders and policy reviews;
- Maintaining valuation databases, intranet pages, and document libraries;
- Supporting internal compliance, workplace safety, and confidential information protection;
- Assisting with valuation-related projects and continuous process improvements.
The Expertise
We’re looking for a Team Assistant or Coordinator with 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role ideally within a corporate environment in the property, finance, or legal sectors. Key capabilities include strong verbal and written communication skills, professionalism in liaising with stakeholders, effective time management, initiative, adaptability, and a positive team-oriented attitude. Stylistically, we are looking for a strong multitasker who thrives in a fast-moving environment and has exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
